Perang!

Posted in Memory Tank, weekend on December 16, 2008 by Lady K

Finally aku dpt men paintball!!! It’s a game I’ll never forget! Best tak terkata! Hilang akal! Best best best! Waduh gila best sey! Woohoooo!

Malam sebelum game aku dah rasa cuak jugak. Bukan sebab takut kena tembak tapi sebab aku tak kenal sorg pon kecuali Adiman. Camne ni camne ni. Ahhh persetankan perasaan ni, bila lagi nak men? Bedal sajalah!

Game day. Aku asek tgk jam, takut terlambat. Malam ada 10year reunion, hopefully I could make it before 730, aku berharap dlm hati. Harini mmg my black Saturday the 13th. Siang perang pakai all blacks, malam dinner pink black. Eh blog aku pon black gak hehe. Slacknya, tudung hitam yg aku nk pjm dari adek aku MIA, terpaksa pakai tudung biru. Little did I know the color of my tudung would blew my cover later on! Aku lukis peta Rimba Harmoni, siap-siap then zas terus ke tapak peperangan

So after waiting for the rest to arrive, makan-makan, kenal-kenal, borak-borak, briefing-briefing, masa yg dinanti-nantikan akhirnya tiba!

Let the (my) first game begins…

Barrel sock off

Safety pin off

Test shoot

3 seconds to...” (suara marshall dah sayup2 kedengaran, mind already focusing on what’s gonna happen next)

Barisan infantry Penunggu gua terus berlari take cover. Sniper amek port dalam tree house. I shot 3 enemies down: Faruq, someone, Faruq again (lps recharge) hehe. Faruq dah mati hidup semula pastu mati balik hehehe. Enemy terakhir tak mati plak aku tembak, he was running like crazy towards the flag, lantas dia berjaya mencabut flag tanpa kena sebutir pon peluru aku! Arghhh, maybe kena tapi bounced back! Darn! Silap aku jugak sbb aku tak dgr sniper jerit dia dah abes pellet. Cakar Harimau menang against Penunggu Gua. Takpe next time wa akan berdiri and tembak a la terminator haha!

Second game pulak Penunggu Gua serang dari bawah bukit. Owh, didn’t I tell you we had our war game at a hill slope, a getah estate filled with nyamuks hill slope :P

“Nak amek flag tak” (tanya Adiman pada Usop – klu tak salah pandangan kelabu mask & pendengaran aku hehe)

“Amek weh!”, aku menyampuk dari jauh

Tiba-tiba kiri kanan aku dah takde org. Aik mana sume org pegi ni? Pakat mati sama-sama ke hape? Aku jalan itek ke ‘kubu’ seterusnya. Eh dah dekat ni. Lalu aku pon tembak sniper-sniper Samseng Kg Dusun. Mungkin terkena sebab satu masa tu dua-dua sniper senyap tak tembak haha. Coast mcm clear, aku letak marker and lari ke flag. Serentak aku genggam flag.. beng! Melayang butir peluru yg pertama ke kepalaku. Beng! Peluru kedua plak. Beng! Aku tak ingat no 3 pegi mana :p Masa tu marshal cakap smthg indicating aku mati dlu tak sempat cabut flag. Dem. Kecewa tapi berkobar-kobar nak recharge. On the way back to base, Fuad mtk pellet. Memula nak bagi je marker kat dia tapi dia insist nak pellets je so aku bagi jelah. Recharged and left my marker behind, aku pon cuba-cuba nak pegi amek flag dlm masa yg tinggal satu menet tu. Then game over. Wow we won! Cayalah Faiez! Gila kental smgt kau tempuh peluru bertubi-tubi haha

Lps game yg ketiga, Atul dok cerita-cerita kat aku & Adiman yg kitorg kepung dia, aku kanan Dme kiri. Aku takleh recall masa bila aku kepung dia, byk kali jugak dia cerita. Aku tgk Dme blur, aku sengih-sengih kerang busuk. Besoknya baru aku teringat, aku memang ada cornered an enemy dgn Adiman. Spontaneous. Aku dah nmpk muncung marker di balik ‘kubu’ tu on the right side, aku pon pusing nak sergah dia belah kiri. Tup-tup, Dme dah ada kat situ. Pe lagi, aku pon pelan-pelan gerak ke belah kanan, tembak sedas dua kat dia (aku takut dia tembak dlu hehe) pastu marshall cakap jgn tembak lagi. Aku ingatkan bdk laki yg kena tembak tu, rupanya bdk pmpn hehe. Patutlah blur semacam je bila dia cite. Harap ampun ya :P

Game berakhir dgn Penunggu Gua menang final. Hehe. Tatau tatau. Organizer cakap menang so menangla kan. Aku layankan ajer haha. Yang aku pasti aku dah lambat gila nak pegi dinner!

Perghhhhh.. kepuasan menembak org adalah sgt priceless!!! Beng!

I’ve been followed II

Posted in I Say, Memory Tank on April 19, 2007 by Lady K

If you remember this, it happened again! I was followed yesterday, in broad daylight!!!

There was nothing out of the ordinary when I rode down the Federal Highway motorcycle lane. Yesterday was like any other day. The traffic was pretty normal. It was around 1715hrs so people had started coming home from work. There was nothing to worry about with so many people around.

I was speeding down the highway, overtaking slow moving bikes. At one bend I sensed one bike was very, very close behind me. I could see the bike clearly from my rear view mirror. It was the same type of bike that followed me last time only the rider was different. He was bigger. Yikes!

To test whether my instinct was right, I sped off and overtook the bike in front of me. I noticed he followed suit. I overtook another bike and he did it again, closing up behind me really fast! Sheeeett! Not again! I overtook a few more bikes and he was still at my tail. At one time I deliberately slowed down, letting all other bikes sped beside me and there he was, faithfully followed everything I did.

My mind was thinking fast. I was going to Pantai Dalam and I couldn’t recall if there is any police station there. Hmm, if he still follows me, I’ll go to my friend’s house then. Just park at his flat and pretended I lived there. Or I could go to the condo where another friend of mine living. The latter is pretty risky because I’m afraid if the guards wont let me pass through. I made my exit, shot towards the traffic light at the flyover. Red light. I stopped and turned around. I lost him. Thank God! Why on earth did he do that??!! Whether he was main-main or simply wanted to ‘test power’, I was damn lucky the episode ended there. Uh I don’t know.

Another similar incident happened a few hours after that. I was walking towards my bike when I saw one thin guy so very suspiciously staring at me. Noticing this, my mind and body somehow automatically became ready to face any attack. When I reached my bike, I saw him walking slow motionly towards me. I pretended I didn’t see him but I kept glancing at him from the corner of my eye. There was no one around. I was ready for anything. I don’t know where I got the nerves to be so cool and fearless. I struggled to close my overload Givi box and saw him coming nearer. Then he stopped abruptly, standing almost right behind me. He just stood there. I just continued adjusting the contents of my box, confidently showing I-don’t-give-a-damn-about-you-standing-there face, but still keeping a watch from the corner of my eye. I was ever so ready to strike if he tried to do anything. He stood there for a few seconds then walked away. Alhamdulillah nothing happened. I went to the movie afterwards and arrived home safely before midnight. Praise to Allah for giving me protection all the time. Alhamdulillah.

You can say I’m paranoid, I don’t care. Maybe I freaked out without no reason at all but I think it is better to be safe than sorry. Being alert is important. Well, at least notice something fishy before it’s too late. People are getting brutal, they are starting to lose their senses. Taking other people’s life seems like a satisfaction to some. So please, please everyone, man or woman, be safe. Recite the Ayatul Qursy before you go out. Always pray for your safety. May Allah be with you, always :)

The Accident

Posted in Memory Tank on April 9, 2007 by Lady K

Pitch black.

That’s the only thing I remembered when I came to. There was a police officer in blue uniform named Zulkifli standing in front of me saying something. There were so many people around me, mostly men hehe.. Zulkifli kept talking, I can’t recall what he have said but I’m sure he was trying tell me that I fainted. The word ‘pengsan’ was repeated so many times. I don’t know how long I took to absorb the word and realize where I was and I have fainted.

No one would expect it will rain that day. Well, I didn’t. It was really hot and sunny before suddenly it rained heavily, like someone had poured a bucket full of water on the roof. I had something very important to do so I hastily wore my raincoat and rode my bike to Mobil to fill up and pump my tyres.

There were so many motorcyclists pulled over at the petrol station because of the rain so I decided to go to Petronas instead. I think I hit something on the way and I lost my balance. The last thing I remember (but I’m not so sure about it) was I was going to fall. Then black. Nothing else. You probably will not believe me if I say I didn’t feel any pain when I took the fall. How and where I fell, did my head hit hard on the pavement or did I fly like a Superman, no, there’s nothing I could tell you about the fall. I can tell you I didn’t break the fall as I don’t have the typical bruises when people try to break a fall. But I do have a small abrasion on my left elbow. Even the doctor said “Sikitnya”. So, I assume I passed out before I took the fall.

A woman who was riding with her husband helped me up. She helped me to lean on something. I don’t remember. Then I think Zulkifli ordered me to take off my tudung. Huh? Taking off the damn thick high quality raincoat was the first thing I should do, not the tudung. I simply shook my head and took off my raincoat. Then a guy came to me and told me he moved my bike somewhere. “Adik, motor kat situ ye“. I was so blur I think I nodded once.. ermm maybe I just stared at him. After a few moments he came to me and told me the same thing again. I don’t remember when he gave me my keys. Then I think an undercover police (judging from the way he dressed) came to me and asked whether I wanted a drink. I think I only stared at him. He asked again and Zulkifli said “Pergi belikan air”. Then another police with a walkie talkie came and asked “Nak ambulance tak?”. Whoa! This time I really stared at him. Do I need an ambulance? What kind of question is that? When he asked again, Zulkifli simply said ‘No need’. I looked around and saw a police traffic bike. Then I was told to go into the Mobil shop. I started walking and the crowd has started to disperse, the rain has stop. OK, I’m in the shop, now what?

While looking outside the glass wall of the Mobil shop, I reached down for my handphone in my jeans pocket. Someone texted me. I heard the SMS tone when I regained consciousness. When I heard the incoming SMS I was like “siapalah msg aku time² camni”. Today I’m grateful. If not for the SMS, I probably wouldn’t use my handphone to contact anyone for help. I replied the text and two of my frens came for my aid. Lia and her officemate sent my bike home while Habib sent me to the nearest clinic.

I can’t lift my left arm. It was pretty bad. I sat beside the driver and I had to open and close the door by using my right hand (can you imagine that?). I told the doctor I have headache and I felt nauseating. He immediately refer me to the hospital.

So off we went to the hospital. Surprise! Surprise! Federal Highway was clear! No jam! As if everybody knew I just had an accident. To cut short the story, my skull and neck were x-rayed and I was admitted to the observation ward for one night. The doctors didn’t say anything but I heard one of the doctor refer me as the ‘head injury patient’. One nurse said headache and nausea are symptoms of head injury. That night, my whole body started to ache and my neck was the worst.

When I was discharged, the doctor gave me 3 Days of MC and I have to come back to the hospital if the following symptoms occur within 24 hours of discharge:

  • Drowsiness or excessive sleepiness
  • Confusion or disorientation
  • Severe headache or vomiting
  • Weakness of any limbs
  • Convulsions, seizures, passing out or fits
  • Discharge of blood or fluid from ear or nose
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Double vision
  • Fever

I consider myself lucky because the trauma to my head was not serious. The symptoms above didn’t occur. Had I vomit while under observation, that might say I have a blood clot in my brain. I might still be in the hospital, lying on my bed with a big bandage on my head. Praise to God I’m still breathing today and writing my blog ;)
